Andreas Scheuer, Germany\u2019s Minister of transportation personally opened the event in a ceremonie.<!--more-->The fair is divided into the five\u00a0segments: Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. InnoTrans occupied all 41 halls available at Berlin Exhibition Grounds. More than 3.000 exhibitors from over 61 countries displayed to 160.000 professional visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Andreas Scheuer inquired several innovations on the exhibition, also at the booth of Deutsche Bahn. There, the brand for adaptive imaging systems<strong> AI<\/strong> presented their proven product <strong>VISIONSCANNER2<\/strong>. By using a robot connected with a triangulation sensor and is associated software, an optimal solution for measurements of wear parts was set in place. Thereby, it is possible to effectively evaluate, if a wear part can be reworked or needs to be replaced. The system increases the quality of quality inspection, reduces the time for inspection and the cost for maintenance of parts partially with safety critical functions are reduced drastically. One measurement takes about 200 milliseconds only, even though a maximum of precision and repeatability can be achieved. Furthermore, this application may also be integrated into a human-robot-collaboration scenario, in which the worker is relieved from this monotonous task of taking manual measurements.
